'Wedding Ideas Magazine' Online Feature

I had the pleasure of writing an online article for Wedding Ideas Magazine on how to fit your stationery in to your wedding style or theme. I selected 5 designs from Lily and Jack's Paper Studio's collection, all quite different, and discussed how you can incorporate the colours and styles of these invitations in to any wedding theme.

COLOUR POP

Flower Candy Invitation

The Flower Candy design has been a firm favourite within the range and we can see why! This design is a burst of Summer colour. Bold, bright colours and flourishing blooms bring this design to life. This design is fun, exuberant and will guarantee to put a smile on your guest’s faces. If bright, bold colours are important to you for your wedding day – then we can see the Flower Candy Design being a big hit for you! Bright colours can still be incorporated in an elegant way; just be careful not to add too many other bold colours in to the mix with the Pink and Yellow, but add more muted shades instead. What is better than setting such a happy and trendy colour mood to your day? Why not share this mood and style with all your guests?

DREAMY AND GRACEFUL

Allium Invitation

The Allium design oozes whimsical English romance. The watercolour backdrop combined with the pretty illustration of the Allium flower is a versatile design that will work well for a rustic, elegant or modern day wedding for any time of the year. The neutral shades feature classic appeal and these are colours that really can work with anything and can set any tone for a wedding, they will always remain classically chic, modern and romantic.

ROMANTIC AND INTRICATE

Fleur Invitation

The Fleur Design brings a touch of class, elegance and femininity to any wedding, featuring two colours that just fit so well together. When you take soft pink tones and combine it with the subtle dove grey, you have a duo to be reckoned with. Not too girly, this twosome instantly suggests a sophisticated, yet never stuffy affair. Grey, as a colour, often gets set to one side, which as a colour on its own can appear plain and flat. But with the addition of Pink to the colour pallet, this design presents a fresh, sweet and classy style and is particularly popular for contemporary summer weddings.

NATURES BASICS

Pine Forest Invitation

Using nature as the inspiration to this design, the Pine Forest is gentle and unassuming. The beauty of this design means that it can easily be rendered across your whole wedding. Utilising Kraft paper and nature themed illustrations, the Pine Forest design is a stationery trend that is ideal for neutral colour palettes. This stationery collection is ideal for setting a rustic tone to your wedding day. The hint of green against the kraft paper feels and looks fresh. Why not share the love of nature and the environment with a design that features down-to-earth shades and nature inspired, intricate illustrations.

DIVINE WARMTH

Florence Invitation

Featuring florals and watercolours, the Florence design combines stationery trends that we just love. Rich and warm, the purple shades are cooled down ever so slightly with blue hues. Much like a fine wine, the deep and rich colours make this design ideal for Autumn and Winter weddings. These stunning colours would look brilliant when used alongside in bridesmaid’s dresses, bouquets and finishing touches on tables. There’s no reason for floral designs to be left for weddings in the Spring and Summer, these colours bring passion, richness and energy, and will always be popular wedding favourites.
